As an agroecologist, I work to develop and implement new land management practices that provide agricultural products, mitigate environmental pollution, and enhance biodiversity. The development is based on research activities. We conduct experiments in field settings, greenhouses, and laboratories to produce information that will lead to the design of more sustainable cropping systems. The basic principles of ecology serve as the foundation for these hypotheses, and I rely on statistical analysis and sometimes simulation modeling to interpret and extrapolate results.
